 Aloha Shrimp Skewers

Aloha Shrimp Skewers

Glaze:
3/4 cup thick teriyaki sauce
4 cloves minced garlic
1 tablespoon fresh minced garlic
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon chili pepper paste
juice of 1/2 lemon
pinch of salt
3 green onions finely sliced

fresh pineapple chunks
2 pounds uncooked large shrimp, peeled and deveined
1 pound bacon, cut in half

Preheat oven 400°
Combine glaze ingredients; set aside.
Place a pineapple chunk on top of shrimp and wrap with 1/2 a slice of bacon. Thread a skewer through to secure it all together. Brush the skewers with glaze and bake for 10 minutes. Remove from oven and brush the skewers again with glaze: return to oven for 8-10 minutes or until the shrimp is cooked and bacon is crisp.
