Vanilla Cake
3 sticks butter, softened
2 cups sugar
5 eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon almond extract
3 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup buttermilk
Preheat oven 350°
Cream butter and sugar. Add one egg at a time, then extracts and mix well. Combine dry ingredients, then alternate dry ingredients and the buttermilk into the mixture by thirds. Mix just until combined. Don’t over mix. Bake for 23-25 minutes.
